Whilst RESPONSE Marketing Solutions was incorporated back in 1999, Brett's training and passion for marketing and sales began some 7 years before at the age of 17.

For the full 3 years that Brett studied marketing at Curtin University of WA, he also attended various top marketing and sales workshops from interstate and international specialists, studied leading edge marketing courses, and worked in telemarketing and market research in Perth's premier direct marketing agency, JMG Marketing.

During Brett's work at JMG Marketing, he worked on over 100 different marketing campaigns, experiencing different marketing strategies and campaigns for every type of business, from retailers to manufacturers, from the largest public companies through to the smallest businesses.

After graduating with a double major in "Marketing and Management" from Curtin (and with Golden Key Honour Society membership - for the top 10% of students) Brett travelled to Europe and continued work with a London direct marketing firm. Upon arriving back in Australia, Brett was offered a consulting role with JMG Marketing, with his first assignment on secondment to Bunnings Treefarms as Marketing Manager.

During his time in this role, Brett tripled the number of qualified leads of the previous Marketing Manager (with the same budget) by developing a best practice direct marketing system.

After the success at Bunnings Treefarms, Brett took up a specialist relationship marketing role with Home Building Society. Moving into the banking sector, Brett developed several leading direct marketing campaigns, client nurturing programs and successful insurance cross selling systems.

During his employment, Brett enrolled in the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) "Certification Course" and was awarded top of the state for 1998.

Brett left Home Building Society mid-1998 to become a Strategic Marketing Analyst for Results Corporation, an international marketing consultancy that specialized in promoting international speakers, marketing workshops and leading edge marketing programs.

Over the year to follow, Brett consulted to over 100 company owners or General Managers on their advertising, marketing and sales strategies.

This experience was invaluable in learning and refining exactly what the market wanted and needed when it came to marketing consulting and support.

It was Brett's passion and desire to meet the wants of the market that led to the formation of RESPONSE Marketing Solutions in mid-1999, and the development of the 9 Step Business Growth System
